Crinan Canal

The Crinan Canal from Ardrishaig, Loch Fyne to Crinan on the West Coast. Not only does this provide a short cut for boats but it is also a beautiful walk or cycle away from traffic. Passing through Cairnbaan and Belanoch on the way.

The Cairnbaan Hotel is quiet corner where good food is served all day, while you watch the boats passing through the Crinan Canal.

Island Hopping - Cal Mac

Calmac ferries from Oban run from several locations in and around Mid Argyll. The Islands of Islay and Jura can be reached from West Loch Tarbert, Arran can be visited for a day leaving from Skipness and Mull and Iona can be reached leaving from Oban which is only an hours drive from the Ormsary Lodges.
